A table for the heart

Good food doesn’t have to be complicated to be kind to you.

These recipes were gathered around one simple idea: eating well for your heart can be generous, colorful, and genuinely pleasurable — not a list of things to give up. Everything here leans on real, whole ingredients: oats, lentils, beans and barley for fiber; olive oil, avocado, nuts and oily fish for the fats that love you back.

Nothing is fussy. Most dishes come together in a single bowl or pan, and many taste even better the day after you make them. However you come to the table, may it leave you nourished, satisfied, and a little lighter in every sense.

Small habits, steady heart

Four simple principles behind every recipe

You don’t need a diet. You need a kitchen that quietly works in your favor.

01

Fiber first

Oats, beans, lentils and whole grains help carry cholesterol out of the body — and anchor nearly every chapter.

02

Good fats

Olive oil, avocado, nuts, seeds and oily fish replace the saturated fats found in butter and cream.

03

Let plants lead

Vegetables and fruit fill the plate with color, fiber and the antioxidants a healthy heart depends on.

04

Flavor, not salt

Garlic, herbs, citrus and warm spices do the heavy lifting — so a little salt goes a long way.

The honest truth

“Healthy” shouldn’t taste like punishment.

Most cholesterol advice is a list of foods you can’t have. This book flips it — showing what to cook, not what to fear.

Eating for cholesterol usually feels like…

  • Bland, joyless “diet food”
  • Confusing labels and conflicting rules
  • Expensive, hard-to-find ingredients
  • Hours of cooking you don’t have time for
  • Giving up the meals you actually love

With this cookbook, it feels like…

  • Dishes rich enough to crave again
  • One clear rule: fiber & good fats first
  • Everyday ingredients from any store
  • One-bowl, one-pan, meal-prep friendly
  • Comfort food, quietly made heart-smart

Ron’s story

Chef · Restaurateur · Vilnius

Ron is a Vilnius-born chef who has spent his life around food — early market visits, seasonal ingredients, and years in professional kitchens. In 2008 he moved to London and had the opportunity to learn and work under Jamie Oliver, later leading kitchens as head chef and building food businesses across hospitality and beyond. Along the way he traveled to 61 countries, tasting thousands of authentic dishes.

Then his own health took a serious turn. High cholesterol led to blocked arteries, and a blood clot traveled to his lungs — a pulmonary embolism. That life-changing moment forced him to rethink everything he knew about food. He began searching for cholesterol-friendly recipes and practical ways to eat healthier without giving up the joy of the table.

Healthy food doesn’t have to come with a calorie deficit or a flavor deficit — and I’m here to prove it.
— Ron
